Meet My Grandpa

Well, not exactly! This is a model of a therapsid, sort of a dead end in evolution terms. They had fur like a mammal but also note the reptilian teeth that are all the same shape. For that reason they have been classified in their own unique group. This handsome guy is at the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville, Florida. We spent a fascinating couple of hours there today looking around. You never know what odd things you might run into when exploring.
