Little Squeaker

This is Ellen. It's funny how she and her look-a-like sister Elvira are so different. Elvira is crazy about my wife and likes me ok. I call Ellen "little squeaker" because she loves to hop into my lap and make squeaking sounds as she rubs her head against my arm. She gives me a really sappy look all the time. When my wife tries to pet her, Ellen hisses and growls at her. Ellen won't have anything to do with my wife though she has only been kind to Ellen since the girls both arrived. Go figure!

Well, every cat has a different personality and there is never a guarantee that the cat will love everyone. The diverse personalities makes our 9 cats very entertaining. If affection and bonding is an important issue for you I would suggest getting a cat from a rescue group and having the whole family go to check out the prospective family member. Things can change over time, though. Our Velvet used to run like mad away from the wife. Now he sometimes lets her pet him a little. Cats are funny creatures!
