The Book Meme

Lady Banana tagged me with the book meme.

Here are the rules: Grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal/blog along with these instructions. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag five other people to do the same.

Here is my chance to prove once and for all what a nerd I am! The closest book to me was The National Audubon Society Field Guide to Florida. (Don't even ask!)Here are the next 3 sentences:

The state's southernmost recorded recorded rainfall (a trace, too little to measure) fell at Homestead (Dade County) on January 19, 1977. On average, 46 tornadoes per year touch down in Florida, a frequency that rivals that of the core of Tornado Alley in the central United States. Florida actually suffers more tornadoes per square mile than any other state in the country, although many of these are small, brief, and weak tornadoes that form beneath small thunderstorms and towering cumulus clouds.

For this meme I would like to tag:
