The New Telescope
Last year my Meade 8" telescope electronics and one motor died on me. Repairs did not fix all of the problems with it so I ordered an Orion 10 inch Dobson Intelliscope. It has a 14000 item 'Goto' pad. The main difference between it and the Meade is that I move the scope manually to locate celestial items. The Goto feature is more for the students than for me since I plan on using it at an "Astronomy Night" at the school for the physical science kids and another teacher's earth/space science students.
The telescope just came and has been unpacked. There is quite a bit to assemble, but as you can see from the photograph the ever-helpful Beau and Luvey are assisting me in putting it all together!

They want to see the stars....maybe Leo in the heavens?
Maybe Orion and the Whirlpool galaxy.
Who knows? Part of the fun of it is to take advantage of what you can see well at any given time of the year. I'm thinking of waiting until cool weather so we can avoid being carried away by mosquitoes.
